Caracas, 05 Sep. AVN .- The president of Venezuela"s United Socialist
Party (PSUV), Hugo Chavez, started a journey with the deputy candidates of that party to
the Parliament through several municipalities in Tachira state, southwest of the country.
The journey is part of the campaign ahead of the Venezuelan legislative elections for next
September 26 and counted with the presence of thousands of people who located
around the main streets to greet the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
Supporters recognized the main achievements of the PSUV deputy candidates and
expressed that their preference based on the benefits
obtained by the social missions created during the Hugo Chavez Government,
particularly those in matters of health care and education.
Next September 26, 2010, Venezuelans are called to choose the 165 deputies
who will make up for five years the plenum Parliament.
The goal of the political sectors racing in this competition is to achieve two
thirds of the seats in order to constitute the absolute majority in the legislative
agency
.
